I’m Yumi — probably the most knowledgeable rotary owner in Luxembourg.
And I don’t say that lightly.

I didn’t grow up in the automotive world. I built my way into it — one challenge, one part, one obsession at a time. In 2018, I bought my RX-8. That car didn’t just change my garage — it rewired how I see machines, movement, and mastery.

Rotary engines are complex, misunderstood, and unforgiving. I chose that path on purpose. I learned everything I could — not just to keep my RX-8 running, but to evolve it, refine it, and push it further than stock ever allowed. I now maintain two cars: the RX-8 as my daily, and a grumpy Mercedes W124 as my long-term project.

This site is the result of years of hands-on experience, trial and error, and late nights with grease under my nails. It’s not about trends or quick hacks. It’s about doing things with intention — and documenting machines that mean something. There’s beauty in the process and a bit of chaos too — I’m no stranger to mistakes, missteps, or duct-taped solutions. But I’d rather show you the messy real than the polished fake.

AsphaltXCobalt isn’t just a name. It’s the brand I built — an archive of emotionally driven car culture.
Here, machines have soul, style has substance, and performance is always personal.

Welcome to AsphaltXCobalt.
This is where I leave my mark.
